Information Update
Help us keep accurate records for your copiers & printers! If you move your printer, have personnel changes, or need to update the billing chartfield, please email us at copiers@utah.edu with your device ID in the title of the email. If you have changes to any of the following information outlined below, your email will help us keep up to date records in order to give you the best possible service!
- Device location moves
- Building
- Street address
- Room / suite number
- Device is being retired / sent to surplus
Not only do we want to update the location, but this affects the IP address which affects your connection to MPS monitor & the device will need to be re-connected on the network
- Point of contact changes
- Department point of contact
- Local / embedded IT support point of contact
- Name, title, email, phone number
We reach out to these individuals when we need to recommend devices for replacement, get devices connected to the MPS monitor etc. If you have changes in personnel supporting your department, please let us know so we can stay connected to our customers!

We want to make sure we keep up to date with the changes to your department as campus is rapidly evolving. If your department name is changed, your department is merged or separated in a way that affects printer assets, or you need to change the chartfield your department copies are billed to, we will need to update this information in our system.
